Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.
Karen is a prescribing nurse and very highly skilled. She is a new member of our nursing team.
Pat is our Healthcare Assistant. She is also our phlebotomist and holds blood clinics every morning. Please remember that a fasting blood test means nothing to eat the night before your test and just water to drink (no tea, coffee or juice). You can continue to take your regular medication. If you have a fasting blood test booked and you have not fasted correctly Pat will have to ask you to book another appointment.
Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
Deputy Practice Manager
Our Practice Managers are responsible for managing all aspects of the business such as making sure the right systems are in place to provide high quality of patient care, human resourses, finance,patient safety,premises. equipment and information technology.
The Practice Managers support the GP's and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.
Jan is the practice administrator and is responsible for incoming clinic letters, referrals and other administrative duties
Natalie is the prescribing clerk for the West Wing. She will deal with all your prescription queries. Please select option 4 to speak to her. Please remember we do not take prescription requests over the telephone.
Our reception team are here to help you with all your appointments, cancellations and general enquiries. There is a receptionist on duty from 8:00 - 18:30pm every day Monday to Friday.
