Nurse Practitioners

Mrs Sally McCornack (f)

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.

Mrs Karen Burchett (f)

Karen is a prescribing nurse and very highly skilled. She is a new member of our nursing team.

Ms Diane Higgs (f)

Mrs Kirsty Bremner (f)

Kirsty is a newly trained practice nurse. She came to us after working out on the community.

Healthcare Assistants

Mrs Patricia Mansfield (f)

Pat is our Healthcare Assistant. She is also our phlebotomist and holds blood clinics every morning. Please remember that a fasting blood test means nothing to eat the night before your test and just water to drink (no tea, coffee or juice). You can continue to take your regular medication. If you have a fasting blood test booked and you have not fasted correctly Pat will have to ask you to book another appointment.

Mrs Yvonne Tremain (f)

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
